Shakedown Cruise tests Keelboat’s “Sea Legs”

Published by LC Boat House on

After a several year hiatus, the Keelboat takes to the Mississippi just north of the Saint Charles, MO, home of the DIscovery Expedition of St. Charles and the Lewis & Clark Boat House and Museum. A tight marina and high waters pose challenges, but not insurmountable ones, for the many volunteers who made the excursion possible. The 55-foot keelboat is a faithful replica of the largest of the boats used by Lewis & Clark from 1803-1805 and has traveled the route used by the explorers.
