Film Weekend captures “St. Charles – Doorstep to the Westward”
The weekend of May 30-June 1 saw old members along with the new working together to recreate the era of Lewis & Clark in St. Charles. The experience will be long remembered by those who took part as well as visitors excited to see our fleet in action on the river. In addition to what Ben (our videographer) shot for the episode, many minutes were filmed behind the scenes that will tell the story of the fun time while we persevered through it all.
From those who prepared the boats (launching & recovery), to those who had
parts in the filming, to those who managed the wardrobe and props, and those who prepared the meals, each task was needed and created a springboard for a successful event. It would have been difficult to complete what we did if anyone who was present were missing.
The scenes depicting the Corps of Discovery in St. Charles will be part of our film series depicting key moments in the expedition’s planning and preparation. More information is available here.
