Move to Higher Ground?

We love our home on the banks of the Missouri River, with a front row seat to all the moods of America’s Big Muddy, the heart of Discovery Expedition’s continent-spanning route. But we prefer to love the flows and eddies from a distance, not as a participant. Still, despite our Read more…

With an onsite weather monitoring station tracking temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure and precipitation, we are highly attuned to the weather. We also track the flows of the Missouri River, our nearest neighbor. But it’s always good to have a trained professional on hand, like Fox2Now‘s meteorologist Read more…

“Earbobs” on the Upper Mississippi

When Lewis & Clark reached the Mandan and Hidatsa Villages in 1804, French and English Canadian Resident Traders had been living among the Earth Lodge People for more than two decades.
