All paddles lead to Missouri American Water MR340 finish at the Boat House

With 353 starters in Kaw Point (near Kansas City, MO), the 20th running of the Missouri American Water MR340 saw 353 paddlers and pedalers battle fatigue, the elements and the river to get 340 miles downstream to the finish line at the Lewis & Clark Boat House and Museum in St. Charles, MO.  The annual fundraiser for Missouri River Relief funds education efforts and river cleanup projects.  Congratulations to the first finishers, who made the Boat House in under 40 hours.  Fastest time was clocked by John Radford and Matt Walters in a tandem pedal kayak.  Also under 40 hours was solo kayaker Salli O’Donnell.  The cutoff time, of 85 hours, was barely beat by many paddlers, include the teams arriving to the party, already in progress on July 11.
